Carleton University

Because of high demands from Toronto students, we from Carleton University are proud to share with you the vastness of fun and learning experiences you MIGHT (no 100% certainty here) get at Carleton University.

Pros:

1) For those of you that only think about saving money for your marriage or getting a car after graduating, Carleton University is the best place for that cause. With its low living cost (this only applies for student who stays off-campus), you might be able to save up to 70% of your total annual allowance by the time

you finish your first year.......duuhhh, dream on. With so many temptations, you might want to use your money for a PS3 or a drum set...might as well be a pool table (for boys) leaving you with no hope of marriage...or a car.

2) Carleton University is a good place for people who like to waste more of his lifespan on playing and horsing around than studying (this only happens in your first semester). Carleton’s University’s challenge is on the puny side if you want to compare it with other university in Canada. Yes, it’s easy to score....but it’s also easy to get a B-. Carleton University has a very high rate of student repeating the same subject, because you were mostly occupied with your PS3 or guitar than studying before.

3) Carleton University is a place for those of you who prefer low challenge, and don’t really mind with what rank your university is on. You’re the one who will decide whether the university is great or not, not other people. You are the one who will experience it, not your pak cik....or mak cik. For those of you who care, my lecturer said that Carleton University is on the top 5 when it comes to engineering in Canada...err,not worldwide.

4) For Muslims, Muslim Students Association (MSA) is here to arrange many Islamic activities and programs. The Muslim society in Ottawa is big and you don’t really need to worry about halal foods.

5) There is still no record of Malaysian students got kicked back to Malaysia. Hopefully, there will be none.

Cons:

1) If you intend to improve your English, Carleton University is not a good choice (especially Malay students). You might as well speak only bahasa here because Malaysian community here is very big. (Just count how many grammar mistakes I made, you will trust me.)

Overall:

Learning experience: 9/10
Challenge : 5/10
Personal growth : Depends

I know this doesn't sound inspiring, but trust me, Carleton University is the best.
