sweetbainin: At waterloo mmg ada malaysian students. But sponsored malaysian students, no. This is because JPA (and even MARA i think) dont allow us to go to waterloo on account that in waterloo, u have to go through a 5 year course since coop is a must.
Ungku Abdul Hafiz: Waterloo ada coop dan JPA tak kasi buat coop, so no JPA scholars or MARA scholars there.

qayyum: kalo x lepas.. selalunya jpa bg sambung pengajian in malaysia's univeristy.. however, since icpu ends after uni kerajaan application da ttp.. so, selalunya pelajar akan pergi ke university swasta..
sweetbainin: Tlg la jgn pikirkan langsung kemungkinan perkara itu berlaku. Work hard for your best and think positively. Ape yg akan jadik akan datang, pikirkan di masa hadapan. Not now when u can still work it out.

I would like to answer this question and I hope it will help you guys. I’m strongly agreed with what Bainin said. Think positive is important. However, to know the answer of this question can be very important too. I’ve been in a situation where I have to answer this for my life. Just to give you information, here are few things that you SHOULD DO if you are not able to fly to Canada :
1. Don’t wait! You should straight away look for local university application since you almost all university application will meet their deadline very close to that time (the time you got your ICPU result). Apply for both public and private university.
2. If the application already met the deadline, don’t stop apply. You’ve to make appeal letters for those universities and send it by hand or via email to the right person. Appointment and sending by hand is better.
3. Keep in touch with your friends with the same situation like you. Plan something all together. Always ask them what they’ve done for the local university application or related. There are few of my friends who missed university application and interview due to the failure to keep in touch with other friends. So don’t wait for your friends to tell you everything.
4. Contact JPA or MARA for your status and the next plan. I don’t really know about JPA. For MARA student, you’ll not be in SPC (Skim Pelajar Cemerlang) student anymore. You have to apply for loan called Skim Pinjaman Terbuka if you still want to proceed with MARA.
5. Try hard to fly. If you feel you deserve to fly and you really want it, I suggest you to make an appeal letter to MARA or JPA to give you chance to fly. For this, you may have to repeat a few times. And the most important is you should fulfill your promise to your sponsor and try your best to prove that you really deserve it if MARA or JPA accept your request. This is the last effort you can do to fight for Canada.
This suggestion is not to make you feel safe if you fail to fly. This is not the time to surrender yet. You guys still have another one precious semester to maximize your effort. Never underestimate your spirit. Maybe there are a lot of suggestions that JPA students can add regarding this issue. All the best for the next semester.
